Michelle Foshay - new Special Education Coordinator!

Michelle Foshay - new Special Education Coordinator!
Michelle taught elementary special education in Berkeley, California until 2016 when they moved to St. Paul.  There, she worked part-time as a learning specialist at Lake Country Montessori until they moved to Duluth in 2018.  Since then, she has worked on curriculum development for teacher preparation programs for Special Educators. Michelle has a teaching license in elementary education, learning disabilities, and as an academic and behavioral specialist. She earned her Masters of Education from the University of MN in Organizational Leadership, Policy, and Development.  As far as the future, she is excited to continue working with teachers.  She is looking forward to collaborative partnerships and opportunities to support communities that are focused on meeting the needs of all students.  Michelle has two young kids, ages 4 and 6 so they are active!  They love family bike rides, camping, exploring new trails, and ending adventures with ice cream.  She devours podcasts, enjoys yoga, and loves swimming in all the lakes, sometimes even Superior--especially if there is a sauna involved!

Welcome to the Northern Lights Special Ed Coop Michelle!
