Jill Pring - Outstanding Special Ed Provider!

Jill Pring - Outstanding Special Education Provider!
Jill was nominated by a colleague because she always answers the call for support and assistance when a team needs them!  She is thoughtful and always has new ideas for helping kids and teams be successful.  She is tireless in her positive attitude - and a wealth of knowledge that she shares willingly!

This is Jill's 12th year as an ASD Consultant at NLSEC. Prior to working at the co-op, she taught special education for 10 years at South Terrace Elementary in Carlton. She also worked for the Autism Society of Minnesota (AuSM) for the past 15+ years - both as a director for Camp Discovery (a residential summer camp for children and adults with autism) and as an Education Specialist for their Duluth-area programs.

The best part of her job is working closely with teams to problem solve and design individualized interventions for students; then seeing those interventions create positive change. The relationships she gets to build with students, families and staff are important to her - plus her students with autism make her smile every single day. They are why she comes to work every day and they motivate her to learn and improve her skills so that she can better support them.

Jill and her husband, Shannon, enjoy walks on the Munger Trail with their golden doodle, Teddy. In her spare time, she likes to bake and decorate cookies, take pictures and cannot turn down the opportunity to add another sloth to her collection.

We are grateful for you Jill!
